These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the IsThisAScam platform, website, API, browser extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Zeplik, Inc. ("Zeplik," "we," "us," or "our"), a Delaware C-Corporation. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
IsThisAScam is a multi-layer scam detection platform that analyzes URLs, emails, text messages, phone numbers, and other digital content to assess potential fraud, phishing, malware, and scam risk. The Service uses a combination of AI-powered analysis, domain intelligence, URL reputation checking, pattern matching, and threat intelligence databases to generate risk assessments.
The Service provides informational risk assessments only. It does not constitute legal, financial, or professional security advice. While we strive for accuracy, no automated scam detection system is perfect. The Service may produce false positives (flagging legitimate content as suspicious) or false negatives (failing to detect actual scams). You are solely responsible for your decisions based on the information provided.
The Service is available through our website, API, and browser extension. Features and availability may vary by subscription plan.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these acceptable use provisions.
Some features of the Service require you to create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.
The Service offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your designated payment method at the beginning of each billing cycle. All fees are stated in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise indicated.
We may offer a free trial period for certain paid plans. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan unless you cancel before the trial ends. We will notify you before any charges are incurred.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Billing page. Upon cancellation, your benefits will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
We may change subscription pricing from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase. The new price will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following the notice period. If you do not agree to the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.

We reserve the right to modify, deprecate, or discontinue API endpoints with reasonable notice. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before removing any API endpoint that is actively in use.
The Service, including its design, features, content, algorithms, models, and underlying technology, is owned by Zeplik, Inc. and is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited license to use it in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service for analysis. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, analyze, and store that content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This license terminates when your content is deleted in accordance with our data retention practices.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ZEPLIK, INC. DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (B) THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR COMPLETE; (C) THE SERVICE WILL DETECT ALL SCAMS, FRAUD, PHISHING ATTEMPTS, OR MALICIOUS CONTENT; OR (D) ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT NO SCAM DETECTION SYSTEM IS INFALLIBLE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DECISIONS YOU MAKE BASED ON THE SERVICE'S OUTPUT. THE SERVICE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL SECURITY, LEGAL, OR FINANCIAL ADVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ZEPLIK, INC., ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH: (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; OR (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Zeplik, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property, privacy, or publicity right; or (d) any content you submit to the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and provide reasonable notice, which may include an email to the address associated with your account or a prominent notice within the Service.
Your continued use of the Service after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and, if applicable, cancel your subscription.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected].
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to: violation of these Terms, extended periods of inactivity, requests by law enforcement, or discontinuation of the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to: Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may submit the dispute to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in the State of Delaware.
Class action waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. If for any reason a claim proceeds in court rather than arbitration, you waive any right to a jury trial.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Zeplik, Inc. with respect to the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings and agreements, whether written or oral.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Zeplik, Inc.
