Emails claiming you won a Google lottery, annual draw, or promotional giveaway, asking for personal details and an upfront "processing fee."
Google Docs / Drive Shared File Trap
Notifications that someone shared a document with you, but the link leads to a phishing page or downloads malware.
Google Ads / Business Profile Suspension
Urgent emails claiming your Google Ads or Business Profile will be removed unless you "verify" by entering credentials on a spoofed site.
Google Voice Verification Code Scam
Someone contacts you (often via marketplace listings) and asks you to "verify" yourself by sharing a Google Voice verification code, which they use to hijack a number linked to your account.

- Google sends security alerts from no-reply@accounts.google.com. Verify the full header if in doubt.
- Visit myaccount.google.com directly to review security events, never follow links from emails.
- Google never runs lotteries or prize draws. Any such email is a scam.
- Use Google's Security Checkup at myaccount.google.com/security-checkup.
- Never share verification codes with anyone, not even someone who claims to be from Google.
- Report phishing emails via Gmail's built-in "Report phishing" option in the three-dot menu.
