- WhatsApp will never contact you through the app itself for account issues.
- Never share your 6-digit verification code with anyone, for any reason.
- Enable two-step verification in WhatsApp Settings > Account > Two-step verification.
- If a "family member" contacts you from a new number asking for money, call their old number to verify.
- WhatsApp does not have a premium or gold version. Any such offer is a scam.
- Report and block suspicious contacts using the in-app report function.
